scanner signals?
I have an older scanner and I can only receive weather signals
do I need a new digital scanner?
I’m looking to buy a radio scanner. Do some scanners detect more channels than others? If so how do I find a scanner that has most of the common channels, but is more economical? Just a brief explaination and maybe a web site with some helpfull info would be great. Thanks
Been looking at some of the older scanners on ebay…Realistic Pro-34 and others like it. My question is are these pretty much useless nowadays now that a lot of the radio chatter has gone to trunking and digital? Would these still be able to be programmed to pick up stuff on the various frequencies?
I live near a busy RAF base and like to watch the aircraft taking off and landing but is it possible and legal to listen in to air traffic control to hear when something is due to land or take off? I see many aircraft enthusiasts listening to scanners so they are ready for photo opportunities which makes me curious.
