Is It Safe To Fax Credit Card Details?

Is a 3rd party able to gleen your credit card details if you fax them? How safe is it to fax sensitive information?

    Think about who can see your information in a FAX. The receiving end can have any number of employees/people who can see it before it ever arrives at the intended persons desk.
    I don’t suggest sending anything via fax these days. If they really need to see the card, consider scanning the card and e-mailing the data to the person you are dealing with, but this too is very insecure. Never deal with a third party if you can.

    I wouldn’t fax my credit card, because you can be certain who is standing near the fax machine.
