Can I Assume That The Fax Number Is The Same As The Telephone Number?
I’m a high school student and I’m new at this. I’m trying to fax out an application to a company. There is no fax number on the site of the company, just the normal landline.

Call them and ask.
No, you can’t assume that the fax number is the same as the phone number. Many companies (especially large ones) have seperate lines for fax or phone. If they do have fax/phone on the same line, you may have to call and let them know you’re sending a fax so they’re prepared for it. Most companies don’t employ this practice, though, as it’s inconvenient and time-consuming. Call and say “Hi, could you tell me your fax number, please?” and that’s all ya have to say. Unless, of course, they ask why, and then you just tell them you would like to send a resume/application. They may not have a fax, too, in which case you may want to email your application/resume, or, better yet, deliver it in person. Companies like those initiated types.
